KARTING MECHANIC
Overview:
This position is key to the Kart track; providing our customers with an outstanding racing experience by maintaining our racing karts at the highest possible standard.

Kart Garage Manager
Classification:
Full Time Non-Exempt
Essential Job Functions:
- Perform kart repairs and performance checks
- Opening track and able to Prep and rebuild complete Kart Chassis, Clutch, Alignment and Engine
- Maintain kart performance throughout the day
- Maintain track and facility appearance and functionality
- Keep accurate documentation of repairs, parts inventory, and special projects
- Responsibly maintain supply of tools and machinery
- Ensure that all tires are in good condition and maintained at proper air inflations
- Respond to emergency situations as they arise
- Ensure that the pit, kart shop and track areas remain clean and safe
- Assist the track crew with track operations in limited situations
- Perform specific facility cleaning and maintenance duties as assigned by management
- Perform closing duties to secure the pit and track and prepare for the following day's operation
- During non-karting activity down times, work on other vehicles as needed
Additional Expectations:
- Adheres to Emotive policies, procedures and practices
- Performs other duties as assigned/required
- Work to maintain a “team environment” at all times
- Must be available to work 40+ hours and weekends when necessary
- At times, will be moved to other departments as needed
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or combination of education and experience
- At least two years kart mechanic experience
- Certification by Rotax is a plus
- Positive can-do attitude and innovative thinking
- Must be a team player
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Clean and Valid License
- Multi-task and establish priorities
- Maintain organization in a changing environment
- Exhibits initiative, responsibility and flexibility
- Minor diagnostics skills; troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
