Fabricator/Machinist/Welder

Overview:

The Race Shop Fabricator/Machinist/Welder is responsible for producing, cutting, bending and fitting metal parts to support the needs of a twenty-car Formula 3 fleet as well as a variety of privately owned race cars and karts. The candidate must be extremely detail oriented, highly skilled and experienced in this field.

Full Time Non-Exempt

Essential Job Functions:

1. TIG Welding (Steel, Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel)
2. MIG Welding
3. Plasma Cutting
4. Water Jet Cutting
5. CNC Machining (including programming or CAD ability)
6. Lathe Work
7. Mill Work
8. General Metal Working & Shaping (fixing crash damage, body work, etc.)

Additional Expectations

1. Adheres to Emotive / Simraceway policies, procedures and practices
2. Performs other duties as assigned/required
3. Maintain contact with key customers to solicit feedback and ensure high level of program satisfaction.
4. Demonstrate leadership role among support staff as well as ability to productively interact with fellow company personnel.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Basic Mechanic Skills
3. Basic Computer Skills
4. Racing experience a plus
5. Ability to work well within a team atmosphere
6. Ability to prioritize/multitask
7. Ability to work weekends and overtime
8. Open to traveling
9. Ability to take direction from superiors and meet production deadlines
10. Ability to build and produce race car suspension
