The Mechanics Training Program is Back!

The MTP was last run in 2009, with the majority of its 2,700+ graduates finding employment at all levels of IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, SCCA, and vintage racing teams, as well as major chassis and engine suppliers. The program’s manager, Ky Boe–himself a noted alumni of the course–and his team have been working hard on ensuring the latest installment of this popular program reflects the very latest technological advances in motorsport. The all-new Simraceway Mechanics Training Program will provide students with the practical knowledge and skills they need to qualify for an entry-level career in professional motorsports. Focusing on the basic mechanical design of the contemporary open-wheel racecar, with emphasis on its preparation and applications, it gives students the opportunity to work side-by-side with professional technicians on a modern fleet of Formula 3 cars—invaluable practical knowledge that is supplemented by extensive input from a number of respected industry experts.
