The Mechanics Training Program is Back!

The Simraceway Performance Driving Center is relaunching the industry-acclaimed Mechanics Training Program, with the first intake due in September.

The MTP was last run in 2009, with the majority of its 2,700+ graduates finding employment at all levels of IndyCar, NASCAR, IMSA, SCCA, and vintage racing teams, as well as major chassis and engine suppliers. The program’s manager, Ky Boe–himself a noted alumni of the course–and his team have been working hard on ensuring the latest installment of this popular program reflects the very latest technological advances in motorsport. Read on to find out more.

The all-new Simraceway Mechanics Training Program will provide students with the practical knowledge and skills they need to qualify for an entry-level career in professional motorsports. Focusing on the basic mechanical design of the contemporary open-wheel racecar, with emphasis on its preparation and applications, it gives students the opportunity to work side-by-side with professional technicians on a modern fleet of Formula 3 cars—invaluable practical knowledge that is supplemented by extensive input from a number of respected industry experts.

The program is currently accepting applicants for its relaunch in September. To apply or enquire, email [email protected], phone 1.707.939.4633, or click the red tab at the bottom of the screen.
