Following completion of the R8 Introduction, you’re qualified for the Audi R8 Intermediate course. Stage two of the training series is designed to help you find the limit of this racing-bred machine. Basic car-control exercises are replaced with an autocross competition to help you practice vehicle rotation, trail braking and enhanced cornering techniques. Then it’s back on the track for four R8 30-minute lapping sessions. This greater knowledge of Audi R8 capabilities gives you the opportunity to attack Sonoma Raceway at greater speeds and fine-tune your skills to push the limits of both car and track.

Do I drive my own car?
All driving is conducted in vehicles provided by Audi.

Do I have to own an Audi?
No you do not, and many people attend the Audi sportscar experience for a test drive like no other. At the program you will experience Audi vehicles and learn the technology that goes into each vehicle.

Is there a prerequisite for this class?
Completion of the Audi R8 Introduction class is required to participate in this class.

May I bring a guest?
You may bring one guest and they are welcome to join you in the lounge and may watch you going through the program. Guests are not included in the catering plans, however, if you would like them to join you for lunch, please select the Guest Meal ticket option above. No guests will be permitted to lunch without the add-on.

What is the minimum age for a driver?
21. If the driver is under 21, please contact us.

Am I liable for vehicles damage?
No

What if it rains?
We run the program rain or shine. The Audis are well equipped to handle performance driving in wet conditions. Of course, in the case of unsafe levels of rain, the program is subject to cancellation.

What should I bring with me?
Please bring a valid, non-expired driver’s license. Failure to present a valid driver’s licence on the day of the event will prevent you from participating. We do not provide refunds or rescheudling options in this situation.

What should I wear?
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that will not hinder your driving. We recommend a flat, thin-soled shoe. Please be sure to dress weather appropriate, the program will run rain or shine.

Do I need to drive a manual transmission?
No

Do you provide helmets?
Yes, we provide helmets.

Are travel and accommodations included?
No, but we can recommend area hotels for you.
