December 9, 2014 @ 7:30 am - December 10, 2014 @ 4:00 pm

THE LOLA SRW F3,

THE WORLDS FINEST RACING SCHOOL CAR

At the core of the Simraceway Performance Driving Center program is the modern and relevant teaching platform, the Formula 3 based SRW-F3 racecar.  This sophisticated vehicle demands top of the line curriculum and instruction. To achieve this we have attained some of the best instructors in the world.  Our instructors are still extremely active and race all over the country.  So with an industry leading instructor to student ratio of one for every three students, along with small class sizes, the School of Racing offers greater one-on-one time to address your specific needs.

After the essential knowledge gained from the School of Racing, Stage I, now it’s time to progress and build on these talents, taking things to the next level.  In this course we go deeper into the many layers of knowledge and practice that it takes to be a formula car driver.  Once again utilizing the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, our instructors will drive you around in a proper racing car at high speeds to show the techniques and ability it takes to extract the best out of you and the car.  This really gives you a chance to see what it looks and feels like when it all comes together at nearly 3-Gs.  More Skid Pad work will then be introduced, but this time you’re ready for it in the SRW-F3 as you practice and learn to hold the car on the edge of adhesion.

Other essential on-track drills will cover corner entry maximization, degressive braking and the relationship between aerodynamic downforce and threshold braking.  Further intensive classroom briefings include advanced passing techniques, advanced vehicle & aerodynamics, as well as an introduction into the world of Data Acquisition. We will show how this driver’s aid can help you be your best no matter where you drive.  All this knowledge will be put into practice on the track of course. Each session you use this knowledge and new skill set to get better, faster and more comfortable with our highly advanced Formula car.  During and in between sessions you will receive the highest level of instruction, either via in-car communication, or back on the pit lane with our 1-to-1 debriefs.

This course will qualify you for your SCCA racing license, but more than that, it will give you the skills to succeed, should you wish to dip your toes in the water of Road Racing.
